indecision '08

lately, i've been looking for the right thing to say about the election.  almost everyday i come home wanting to pull my hair out and burn the radio.  i'm trying really hard to not give up and throw my  hands in the air after coming to the realization that people do not think with their brains but with their TV sets.  by and large the electorate wants to be sold on a package and it seems that package lately comes with a pair of ovaries.  i am all for a woman president/vice president....but people - sarah palin?!?  explain this one to me cause i will never get it.  yes, you're right she has executive experience (ummm...less than 2 years as governor of alaska!), foreign policy experience (she lives next to russia), and is one step away from being a bull dog who says thanks but no thanks for bridges to nowhere (that would be after the bridges become unpopular but she'll still take the pork for her state).  

this is just an iota of what's been on my mind lately...i won't barrage you with the rant and rave that joel has to hear almost every night.  i'll just leave you with this great clip from snl (and say this, tina fey for president in 2012!!).
